When I first started sharing stories, about trees, technology, and the people behind both, I didn’t realize how much the conversations themselves would become part of the bigger story.
Earlier this year, I joined two podcast hosts — Jay Worth at Green Industry Perspectives and Angelique Robb at SYNKD On Air — for conversations that surprised me in the best way. Each came from a different corner of the green industry and brought a unique curiosity that revealed new layers in my work — and in myself.
My conversation with Jay Worth on the Green Industry Perspectives Podcast:
Hard To Fix What You Can’t See

“In this episode, Hard To Fix What You Can’t See, Marie talks about how customer satisfaction, opportunities for your employees, and company growth and profit center around the main key to success — trust.”
I thought we’d mainly discuss tree root inspection using GPR technology, but we also talked about trust and the human side of innovation — how change begins with curiosity and grows through collaboration.
Jay asked how we stay focused amid the uncertainty of research and commercialization. My answer surprised even me:
“We keep showing up.”
The truth is, innovation takes time — just as trees grow slowly with nurturing and care.
Jay, thank you for ROOTING for us!
